Welcome to The Channel
We’re a group of 30+ artists and cultural workers producing a network-TV style cultural variety show featuring local artist interviews and behind the look insights into their practice, performances, storytelling, and food through the lens of the future ancient—valuing our cultural heritage in a future-forward, socially transformative way based on our experiences. Live-streamed episodes of “Season 1: Culture without Borders” premiering Saturday October 10th on all our platforms: Youtube, Facebook & Instagram. An innovative partnership with the city of Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture and the Seattle Asian Art Museum / Seattle Art Museum, The Channel is a pandemic-inspired pivot from our museum programming planned throughout 2020.
The Future Ancient is a public art project that values our cultural heritage in a future forward, socially transformative way, based on our experiences. Our Seattle-area based public art team explores our collective liberation and works to understand our place in this historic time for social change. As much as the world has changed with modernity, technology and globalization, we believe the universal truths of our Ancient cultures and beings are vital to the Indigenous Future where Black Lives Matter. We invite you to enjoy our work, join our community and appreciate the sacredness of life that we all share.
